Faster & Smarter Customs Clearance with Kale’s Centralized Examination Services

7 September 2026

Our client is among the top 10 airports in North America and over 90 major international airlines are operating out of the airport to destinations at all six continents in the world. Moreover, it handles over a million cargo in 2024 with a large-scale facility. Leading the ground handling operations in the airport is the world’s largest ground handler who specializes in handling general cargo, pharmaceutical shipments, perishables, express/e-commerce and dangerous goods.

Business Challenge

Customs examination for imports is highly fragmented in nature with stakeholders navigating fragmented systems, constant manual coordination, and delays caused by a lack of visibility. In turn, this leads to inaccurate data entry and incorrect tariff classification. Therefore, there is a need to ensure an efficient, secure and reliable collaborative ecosystem for all stakeholders in terms of customs examination.

Solution

A cutting-edge Centralized Examination Services (CES) as part of the larger Cargo Community System by Kale Info Solutions was developed and implemented at the airport.

The CES platform unified all customs-related activities on a single digital interface, enabling:
